Sri Lanka Higher Education Ministry has launched a new web site about University Leadership Training Program 2012. 
Through logging this web site students can check whether they have selected for the First Batch which scheduled to start December 27 to January 12, 2013.

The University leadership training programme for Sri Lankan students will commence on December 27 media reports.


The programme is scheduled to start at 25 Army Camps islandwide for those who qualified to enter University for the 2011/2012 academic year  according to the Higher Education Ministry Director General of Students affairs Keerthi Mawella.

Federation of University Teachers’ Associations (FUTA) had finally informed them that they would submit their proposals from next year and this time the program could go as scheduled.According to the media reports Program has reduced from three weeks to two week.

The leadership training program is scheduled to launch in three sessions for three batches of 9,000 students each. The Ministry is hoping send the relevant convening letters to the first batch of the selected students soon.

Twenty nine Army camps in the North and East, Colombo, Kandy and Galle districts have been selected for the programme.

The programme's aim is to develop leadership skills and change the undergraduates' attitudes.The training comprises both theory and practical sessions including indoor and outdoor activities. Every student who is participating in the programme has to follow a daily routine.
