NDT students Remanded

NDT Students Sri Lanka Moratuwa University
Two NDT students accused of assaulting engineering students in Moratuwa have been further remanded until January 28. They appeared before Moratuwa magistrate B.A.R. Semasinghe. Police said 15 other suspects were yet to be arrested.
Meanwhile, the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) issuing a press release, said it condemns the act of unprovoked, planned violence unleashed on the students of the University of Moratuwa, Engineering Faculty on January 16.
The release: "Many students were studying for their final year examinations on the night of this brutal and inhumane attack. Those students are the cream of the GCE (A/L) mathematics stream, a national asset on which the nation has invested time and money and they were at the cusp of entering national service in a few days.
