The Eumenides ඉයුමනයිඩ්ස්, a stage drama from Mahinda
College Galle has been selected to the stage drama festival 2013. This is the
first time that School drama was selected to the State Drama festival.
The
Eumenides which was produced by Ranasighe Adikari is the third part of
Aeschylus' great trilogy, the Oresteia. This drama is a great creation which
highlights major themes such as conflict between the old and the new, between
savagery and civilization, the primal and the rational, reconciliation of
opposites, fear and justice, conflict between different moral systems and
others.
Eumenides was translated by Ariyawansa
Ranaweera. Students of Mahinda College, Sangamitta College, Aloysius College
and Manavila Upananda Vidyalaya in Galle are the artists of this drama.
Sanjeewan Gunathilake is the music producer of the drama and the stage
management is by Gihan Kavinda. Choreography is by Renuka Wanniarachchi and
Tharanga Jayawardane and the make-up is by Sarath Weerasighe.
2013 රාජ්‍ය නාට්‍ය උළලේ අවසන් වටය සඳහා ගාල්ල මහින්ද විද්‍යාලයේ ඉයුමනයිඩ්ස් නාට්‍යය සුදුසුකම් ලබා ඇත. ශ්‍රී ලංකා නාට්‍ය ඉතිහාසයේ පාසල් නාට්‍යයක් රාජ්‍ය නාට්‍ය උළෙලක අවසන් වටය සඳහා සුදුසුකම් ලැබූ ප්‍රථම අවස්ථාව මෙයයි. 2008 වර්ෂයේ සිට අඛණ්ඩව පාසල් නාට්‍ය උළෙලේ ග්‍රීක හා සේක්ෂ්පියර් සිංහල නාට්‍ය අංශයෙන් ප්‍රථම ස්ථානය දිනා ඇත්තේ ද මහින්ද විද්‍යාලයයි. ග්‍රීක නාට්‍යකරුවකු වූ ඊස්කිලස් විසින් ලියන ලද මෙය ආරියවංශ රණවීරගේ පරිවර්ථනයකි.
නාට්‍යයේ නිෂ්පාදන කළමණාකාරීත්වය සහ සහය අධ්‍යක්ෂණය මහින්ද විද්‍යාලයේ නාට්‍ය හා රංගකලා ගුරුවරිය වූ රේණුකා වන්නිආරච්චි විසින් සිදුකරන අතර සවුත්ලන්ඩ්ස් බාළිකා විද්‍යාලයේ රණසිංහ අධිකාරී අධ්‍යක්ෂවරයාය. ජගත් පද්මසිරි අංග රචනය සහ ඇඳුම් නිර්මාණය කරයි. පසුතල නිර්මාණය චිත්‍රකලා ගුරුවරයා වන සරත් වීරසිංහගෙනි. සංජීවන් ගුණතිලක සංගීත නිර්මාණය කරයි. ආලෝකය වසන්ත කුමාරගෙනි.
නාට්‍ය නිර්මාණ අතර රඟ දැක්වීමට ඉතා අසීරු නාට්‍යයක් ලෙස ජාත්‍යන්තර වශයෙන් පිළිගන්නා ඉයුමනයිඩ්ස් නාට්‍යය නිර්මාණය කැර ඇත්තේ ඉතා සුළු වශයෙනි. නළු කැල පනහකට අධිකය. නිළියන් ගාල්ල සංඝමිත්තා හා සවුත්ලන්ඩ්ස් දෙවිදුහලෙනි.
