2 Jaffna Campus students arrested for assaulting doctor


It is reported that 2 students of the Jaffna University Medical Faculty have been arrested on charges of assaulting a doctor and damaging his vehicle.
The two university students were arrested last evening according to a complaint lodged with the Jaffna Police by the doctor in question, regarding the incident which had taken place several days back.
The students are set to be produced at the Jaffna Magistrate’s Court. Meanwhile two school students – including a girl- have been arrested at a residence in Kopai, Jaffna for allegedly skipping school. The student were in school uniforms when arrested, following a tip-off received by police.
