Japura University students Protest over Class Suspension


Sri Jayawardenapura University students have launched a huge protest march over Classes suspension of 71 students. Due to this protest Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on High Level Road from Nugegoda to Wijerama junction.
48 undergraduates had been suspended from the Sri Jayewardenepura University last week bringing the total number of students suspended from the university to 71 in three weeks.

First time in the history, 21 students of Japura University medical faculty suspended classes who involved in a peaceful protest on June 7 against Selling Medical Degrees.

  2. It's very pathetic when there is severe ragging of freshers which includes verbal, physical and mental abuse nobody is bothered.

  3. ragging should be stopped fully. its just nothing more than a suffering and torture (am also a fresher) :-p

  4. Only in Sri Lankan universities there is ragging of freshers by a lot of frustrated undergraduate unionists.
