8 students of the Engineering Faculty of
the Moratuwa University have been accused for the unrest that occurred between
the students cf the Engineering Faculty and the Technical Institute of the
Moratuwa University on January 1.
Vice Chancellor of
the Moratuwa University, Professor Ananda Jayawardena said that three students
in connection to the incident have been suspended from attending lectures.
He went on to say
that even though these students had completed their final examination, they
will only be given their results in three years.

Disciplinary Committee of the university is carrying out further investigations

Moratuwa University Engineering Faculty students only got injured when NDT students with poles and equipment attacked them unawares when they were studying in their hostels.
