Mr. Lahiru Weerasekara has been elected as the new
convener of the Inter University Students’ Federation (IUSF) ”Anthare”
said IUSF media Unit. Lahiru
Weerasekara is a Rajarata University Student.
He earlier acted as the President of Students Council of Rajarata University.
According to the sources Representatives of all
universities unanimously elected Lahiru as the new convener of the IUSF.
Lahiru Weerasekara will give leadership to the struggle
being carried out by the student movement in the country against privatization
of education and the protection of free education.
Former Convener Najith Indika carried out the struggle of
the student movement in Sri Lanka from February, 9th 2014. He was a
student of University Colombo.
අන්තර් විශ්වවිද්යාලයීය ශිෂ්ය බලමණ්ඩලයේ කැළණිය විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ පැවති සැසිවාරයේදී අන්තර් විශ්වවිද්යාලයීය ශිෂ්ය බලමණ්ඩලයේ නව කැඳවුම්කරු ලෙස රජරට විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ මහා ශිෂ්ය සංගමයේ සභාපති ලහිරු වීරසේකර සහෝදරයා සියළු විශ්වවිද්යාල වල ඒකමතික තීරනයෙන් පත් විය. මෙතැන් සිට අන්තර් විශ්වවිද්යාලයීය ශිෂ්ය බලමණ්ඩලයේ කැඳවුම්කරු ලෙස ලහිරු වීරසේකර සහෝදරයා කටයුතු කරණු ඇත.
