University Students Protest march Today in Colombo

University Students Protest March Kandy to Colombo Sri Lankan Major students Union, Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) “Anthare” has planned to hold huge protest march Today (March 15) from Kelaniya University to Colombo for pressurize the government to shut down SAITM Malabe Private Medical College.

"Anthare" Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) to launch protest march at 11am from Kelaniya campus.

  1. Why do all the university students protest against SAITM? There are so many other degree awarding institutions in Sri Lanka but even arts students are also protesting against SAITM. This is called the wave (rella). They just float along the wave without sound mentality regarding that they do.

  4. yeah. that's true. people just don't get that. medical faculties must maintain their standards. if you don't know, even in engineering faculies IESL approval is needed. How can someone become a doctor just because they passed any exam? If SLMC says not to recognise malabe medical degree why do these people act like they are never going to become ill?? without SLMC approval any doctor is a 'hora dosthara'. are you going to get treated by a 'hora dosthara' once you know that??
