Z Score Cut Off Marks Release on October Last Week or Nov First Week-UGC

The Z Score Cut off marks for the 2012/2013 university academic year will be released in the Last week of October or Early November 2013, Sri Lanka University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairperson Prof Kshanika Hirimburegama told Lanka University News.
The university Leadership training program for the 2012/2013 academic year will be held after the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Colombo.
Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting will be held in Colombo from November 10-17. The leadership and positive attitude development training program is scheduled to be launched in three sessions at 22 Army camps islandwide last week of November.
"UGC have received lot of applications and now at the final stage of processing them. The exact date of releasing the cut off marks will be informed in the near future, leadership training program will be held after releasing the Cut Off mark and after CHOGM. " Prof Kshanika Hirimburegama said.
The cut off marks are based on the 2012 GCE Advanced Level results. The UGC hopes to admit 23,125 students for 94 courses.
Earlier UGC has planned to start new academic year in December this year. But due to this delay it seems new academic year will delay.
The Cut off Marks will be released to www.ugc.ac.lk official UGC web site.

Some Universities already conducted aptitude and practical tests in addition to basic qualifications. Few universities have released the results to their web sites.

  2. It's better if they release it at least early November. But "Leadership training program will be held after releasing the Cut Off mark and after CHOGM." Does this mean however cut off marks will also be released after the CHOGM??

  8. I heard that Army people are coming to Colombo for the CHOGM. May be that's why it affects the leadership programme!

  9. We have already wasted 1.5 years... why are they still dragging this. I don't think CHOGM will have any influence in releasing the cut-offs, but leadership training may get delayed as army personals are involved in CHOGM. However, in my humble opinion, leadership training is utterly useless. Hope they consider this and start the courses soon...

  12. CHOGAM and releasing Z-Score cut off marks are mutually exclusive events. It is past one year since A/L 2012 was held. UGC is very inefficient because still they are processing University Admission Applications. The Applicants have not received the Post Card yet indicating that UGC has received the application. I hope UGC will release correct cut-off marks after taking such a long time. When it comes to private universities the government is very enthusiastic and the work is carried out in a jiffy.

Cut the leadership pr. to minimum(1 week should do) if you are not prepared to abolish it and star the intake without wasting time.

Because earlier this very web site reported that this foolish and doomed bastards in the so called U.G.C. would release the cut-off marks on " THE LAST WEEK OF OCTOBER OR FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER". You've said it loud and clear for us.Now you can't take any more bleeding time to release cut-off marks. If you don't release them this week, shame upon you.And the raging curse of all Sri Lankan students will be upon you.Come on ,get on with what you have to do.Be honest to your work and your words, you damn fools.
