Schools to re-open

State Minister of Education Aravindh Kumar has announced that all government and government approved private schools island-wide which were closed due to bad weather on Friday (Dec. 09), will reopen December 12.

The Ministry of Education declared Friday a special holiday for all government and government-approved private schools, taking the prevailing adverse weather condition into account, following the inquiries made from the Department of Meteorology and the Disaster Management Centre.

  1. It's important for students to be able to continue their education in person. I understand, however, that some students may not be able to attend in-person classes due to health or other reasons. Thankfully, there are many online options for students to continue their studies. For example, there are many e-learning platforms that offer the opportunity to take my online math class for me. This is a great way for students to get the education they need while staying safe and healthy.

  2. It's nice to remember what we used to do during the locked down. I fix wall corner to be productive during the day and not get bored that's why reopening of schools is such an exciting event for students.
