RanaViruMeetup Season 2 Registration Form
First RanaViruMeetup happened on 25th July 2015. We are
going to visit our war heroes again on 23rd July 2016.
It's been 7+ years now since the end of war in Sri Lanka.
We all know and have seen the suffering that most of us
Sri Lankans had to go through.
Let's help those that need our assistance.
About 'Rana Viru Sevana' in Ragama, Sri Lanka (Brief
intro):
A dedicated facility to look after the rehabilitation of
soldiers. 3 wards with over 100 disabled soldiers who are looked after on a
daily basis. They enjoy meeting the public that like to have a chat with them
and also give a smile with an entertainment act. A small act from public can go
a long way to bring happiness to these brave souls who had given their all to
the well being of our country.
What is needed from public:
We are yet to fully finalise the items to be bought but
they have tentatively mentioned about the need to get 'Motivation wheel chairs'
which cost close to Rs 30,000 each. They need 35 such. We are looking at
providing them with 20 such and therefore this time we are looking at
collecting Rs 600,000 to fulfill this target.

In addition to the item donations, it is possible to
allocate time to give them a few entertainment acts (few songs, dances, magic
acts etc...) to put a smile on their faces. Time will also be available in the
visit to personally talk to them and hear their stories from the war that we
have only heard or read in papers.
Event Agenda:
8.00 am – 2 buses located in Colombo (2 locations) leave
for Ragama with 50+ participants
9.00 am – Arrive at Rana Viru Sevana, Ragama
9.30 am – Welcome speech
9.45 am – Musical arrangement by Rana Viru Sevana band
10.00am – Guest of Honour speech
10.15am – Session by Sisil Shantha Kumara & Morning
snack/refreshments
11.00 am – Presentation of motivation chairs by
participants to Rana Viru Sevana
11.30 am – Meet and greet war disabled heroes
12.30 am – Lunch and break
1.00 pm – Musical arrangement by participants
1.30 pm – Entertainment
2.30 pm – Session by veteran professor of Psychology
3.00 pm – tea
4.00 pm – leave Rana Viru Sevana
