Pass Marks Sinhala Medium is 160 for following Districts Colombo ,Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Kandy, Kurunegala, Matale & Kegalle
Hambantota & Ratnapura Districts Pass mark is 158 for Sinhala Medium.
Anuradhapura & Polonnaruwa Districts Pass Mark is 156.
Monaragala Pass mark is 155.
Nuwara Eliya & Vavuniya District pass mark for Sinhala medium is 153
Tamil medium Pass Mark is 154
Cut Off Marks for Popular School will be release December*

We wish all other students Good Luck for Future Studies! Sri Lanka Examinations Commissioner General W. M. N. J. Pushpakumara
said that it would be possible to release the Grade Five/(Year 5) Scholarship
examination results by this week-end.
The Exam Commissioner said that results releasing process has come to its
last stage now.
Grade 5 /Year Five Scholarship examination (ශිෂ්යත්වවිභාගය - Paha Shreniya Shishathwa Wibagaya) Results will
be released before October 12th to www.doenets.lk and www.results.exams.gov.lk.
Exam hold on August 23 with 340,926 students sitting for the exam in
2907 centers islandwide.
It is believed that due to high
competition the pass marks will be around 160 marks.

According to the reliable sources other faculties will start
2015 December to February 2016 duration.
University Leadership Training Program will not be held this year.
University Education State Minister Mohan Lal Grero said that Immediate
measures will be taken to arm undergraduates with English language and
communication skills, English language ability and communication skills will be
added qualifications for the graduates.
English Language Teaching Units (ELTU) will also be established in each
university. English Clubs will be established under the ELTU in each university
letting undergraduates to master their communication skills in English.
Students those who have problems with z score and degree changes should
send an appeal to the UGC in written. Students should forward a written appeal
to the UGC along with the documentary evidence in support of the appeal. A
photocopy of the appeal application form in the UGC admission handbook could be
used as the appeal format.
Appeal should be forwarded to the UGC within 4 weeks
from the date of publishing the Cut-off points. (2014/2015 Academic Year students’
dead line is November 5).

This
year University Z-Score Medicine Cut-Off Marks as follows, Colombo 1.93, Jaffna
1.90, Kandy 1.884, Galle 1.882. Last year Matara & Hambantota districts
were behind Colombo district.

Colombo 1.56, Matara 1.55, Galle1.54, Kegalle 1.51. Last year Galle
District was number 2.

Sri Lanka Higher Education Ministry sources says that the students who are qualified for the 2017 University Academic year based on 2016 A/L results will be admitted to campuses before the end of 2017.

About 26,500 students will be enrolled for this academic year. 50 additional Medical students will enroll for medical faculties in comparison to last year. Several new subject streams to be introduce this year.

UGC asked students to read newspapers regularly to know about Aptitude Test and exam details.
University Entrance process will be as follows.
First re-scrutinized A/Level results 2016 should be released.
Then University Hand Book will be issued.
After issuing the Hand Book students should be fill it and send to UGC.
Based on students’ desired course students have to apply for Aptitude tests after publishing on national newspapers.
After that students have to sit for Aptitude Tests depend on their selected courses. Then aptitude test results will released by relevant universities.
Z score cut off marks will be released with selected degree course.
Finally University Registration!
After University Admission Letters, students will receive Campus Registration Forms, Mahapola / Bursary Applications, Hostel Registration forms and Medical Forms.
