Government ask University Lecturers to join the exam evaluation-Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena requests all the university lecturers to join the process of evaluating (grading) answer scripts of the GCE Advanced level examination held in last month.

Answers scripts grading is delay due to the University Teachers Strike (FUTA Strike). University teachers refused to participate for answers scripts grading. The Association of Educational Professionals (AEP) says that the postponement of examination paper grading has created a problem with safeguarding the answer scripts but Minister said all the answer scripts are safe and kept in a secret room.

Normally 15,000 teachers and 500 university teachers are needed to mark the answer scripts and in the evaluation program
