A group of
unknown individuals have attacked a hostel at the University of Kelaniya this
morning, causing damages to around 12 motorcycles parked outside.
The
Kelaniya Police OIC said that the attack took place at the Kannangara Hostel in
the university and that no casualties have been reported from the incident.
According
to the students in the hostel the attack was carried out by a group that had
come from outside the university, police said.

දෙවන සහ තෙවන වසර සිසුන් 450ක් පමණ සිටින මෙම නේවාසිකාගාරයට මීට පෙර අවස්ථා ගනනාවකදී බාහිර මැර කණ්ඩායම් විසින් විවිධ ප්‍රහාර සහ තර්ජනය කිරීම් සිදු කල බව වාර්තා වේ. මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් විශ්ව විද්‍යාල පාළනාධිකාරිය විසින් කිසිදු ක්‍රියාමාර්ගයක් නොගන්නා බව සිසූහු චෝදනා කරති. මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් විරෝධය පළ කිරීමට අකණ්ඩ විරෝධතා ක්‍රියාමාර්ග ගැනීමට බලාපොරොත්තු වන බව කැළණිය විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ ශිෂ්‍ය සංගම් ප්‍රකාශකයෙක් අප වෙත පැවසීය.
