More than 100 students of a
leading boys’ school were taken into custody this morning on charges of having
forcibly entered several leading girls’ schools in Colombo. March & April
months are considered as Big Match fever months in Sri Lanka. Jumping
into girls' schools was a tradition of Big Match but now it has banned but some
school boys still doing it.
The students were released a few hours later after a stiff warning.

පාසල් අතර පැවැත්වෙන මහා ක්රිකට් තරග අතරතුර අශෝභන ලෙස හැසිරුණු පාසල් ශිෂ්යයන් 100 දෙනෙකු පොලිස් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන අවවාද කර මුදා හැර තිබේ.
අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සිසුන් පිරිසට එල්ල වී ඇති චෝදනාවන් වන්නේ කාන්තා විද්යාලවලට බලහත්කාරයෙන් ඇතුල්වීම, මාර්ගයේ අශෝභන ලෙස හැසිරීම හා රථවාහනවලට බාධා කිරීමය.මෙම සිසුන් කොල්ලුපිටිය, බම්බලපිටිය, කුරුදුවත්ත පොලිස් ස්ථාන මගින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන අවවාද කර මුදා හැර ඇත.
Police has requested the
school students not to act in a manner that causes obstruction to the public
when celebrating the big-match season.
Speaking at a media
briefing, Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana also asked students to
