The Sri Lankan University Grants Commission (UGC) would call applications for the 2012/2013 Academic year university admissions based on the 2012 GCE A/L examination in April Month.
The Additional Secretary said that at present the University Handbook for the next batch of students was being printed.
The university intake based on 2012 results was delayed due to the previous year’s intake being held up over the Z-score fiasco and a Supreme Court order to enhance the intake.
UGC Additional Secretary (Admissions) Dr. Priyantha Premakumara said the UGC had completed sending letters asking students to register at their respective universities based on 2011 results.
"We expect to complete university admissions based on 2011 examination by the end of this month," he said, adding that immediately after admitting the previous batch to universities the UGC would call applications from those who had passed the 2012 GCE A/L examination.
