The Sabaragamuwa
university officials suspended the classes of 17 students over
disobeying of a senior lecturer.
University lecturers
on Thursday participated in a token strike demanding that the Sabaragamuwa
University Management take stern action against the 17 students, as they had
used abusive language and threatened a lecturer, the University’s Senior
Students Advisor, Prof. Chandana Udawatte said.
සබරගමු සරසවි නේවාසිකාගාරයේ ගැටළුවක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් ඇති වු සිදුවීමකදී සිසුන්ගේ උදව්වට ගිය ආචාර්ය වරුන් පිරිසකට බැන වැදි අශෝබන ලෙස හැසිරුණ බව කියන සිසුන් 17 දෙනකුගේ ශිෂ්‍ය භාවය දින නියමයක් නැතිව ඉවත් කළ බව සබරගමුව විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ ශිෂ්‍ය උපදේශක මහාචාර්ය චන්දන උඩවත්ත මහතා කියයි
මෙම සිසුන් ගුරුවරුන්ට කුණුහරුපයෙන් බැන වැදුන බවත් ආචාර්ය මණ්ඩලය ඊට එරෙහිව වර්ජනයක් ද කැර ඇතැයි දැනගන්නට ඇත.
විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයයේ ශිෂ්‍ය එකමුතුවේ සමාජිකයකු කියා සිටියේ කාන්තා නේවාසිකාගාරය අනාරක්ෂිතව පැවතීම නිසා එය‍ට බාහිරව පුද්ගලයින් ඇතුළු වි ගැටළුවක් මතු වුණා.ගිය සතියේදිනක රාත්‍රි 9 ට පමණ විශ්ව විද්‍යාල ශිෂ්‍ය උපදේශකවරයා එතැනට පැමිණි විට සිසුන් කරුණු පැහැදිළි කැර දුන් බවයි. ‘ඒ ප්‍රශ්නයට කතා කළ 17 දෙනකුගේ ශිෂ්‍ය භාවය තාවකාලිකව අහෝසි කැර තිබෙන්නේ විනය පරීක්ෂණද නැතිවයි. විත්තිකරුවන්ට කරුණු කිමේ අයිතිය බලධාරින් නැති කරලා මේ පිළිබදව අපි මානව හිමිකම් කොමිසමට පැමිණිළි කරනවා.’
