University Leadership Training Meals Issue -CTU

Ceylon Teachers Union charged that the Foods and meals supplied for Students those who are participating for Leadership Training is not sufficient. It is reported that few days ago Students were given only a Bun at night and the next day Rice & Dhal.

Meanwhile Higher Education Ministry strongly condemns the statement made by CTU.

Lanka University News also asked from several students those who are currently undergoing the training about this issue, They were all satisfied with the foods, meals and other facilities provided by the Sri Lanka Forces.

විශ්ව විද්‍යාල සුදුසුකම් ලැබූ සිසුන් වෙනුවෙන් මේ දිනවල පැවැත්වෙන නායකත්ව පුහුණුවේ දී ඇතැම් කඳවුරුවල සිසුනට ප්‍රමාණවත් ආහාර වේලක් ලබා නොදෙන බවට තොරතුරු ඇතැයි ලංකා ගුරු සංගමය කියයි.

දෙදිනකට පෙර එක් කඳවුරක රාත්‍රියට දී ඇත්තේ බනිස්ය. ඊට පසු දින දී ඇත්තේ පරිප්පු සහ බත්ය. ඒ නිසා බනිස් හා පරිප්පු නොකන සිසුහු අපහසුතාවට පත්වූ බව දෙමාපියෝ කියති.

එම කඳවුරෙන් සිසුනට පවසා ඇත්තේ ආහාර සඳහා ප්‍රමාණවත් මුදල් ලබා නොදුන් නිසා එලෙස ආහාර දීමට සිදුවූ බවයි.

මෙම පුහුණුවට සහභාගී වී ඇත්තේ උසස් පෙළ ඉහළින් සමත් යෞවන වයසේ සිසුන් බවත්, ඔවුනට පෝෂදායි ප්‍රමාණවත් ආහාර වේලක් ලැබිය යුතු බවත්,  එලෙස ලබා දීමට ප්‍රමාණවත් මුදල් ලබා දිය නොහැකි නම් මෙම පුහුණුව නොපැවැත්විය යුතු බවත් ලංකා ගුරු සංගමයේ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් ජෝසප් ස්ටාලින් මහතා පැවසීය.

උසස් අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යංශයේ අතිරේක ලේකම් (මුදල් හා පාලන) පී ජී ජයසිංහ මහතා පැවසුවේ ප්‍රමාණවත් මුදල් දී ඇති බවත්, එවැනි ගැටළුවක් ගැන කිසිවකු පැමිණිලි කර නැති බවත්ය. ‘ඔයාලට ඕවා කියනනේ කවුද? ඔයාලා කියනකම් කරවුරුත් කිව්වේ  නැහැ. කියන්න බලන්න කවුද කිව්වෙ කියලා.‘ යැයි ද අතිරේක ලේකම්වරයා පැවසීය.

උසස් අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යංශයේ ලේකම් සුනිල් ජයන්ත නවරත්න මහතා පැවසුවේ ඒ ගැන සොයා බලන බවයි.

I have taken part in this training, and from my personal experience I know there is not such an issue in the leadership training program. Of course we weren't given a "five-star hotel" meal. (And it's rather unfair to expect such luxuries as the government has already spent a lot of money on this). However we were given a decent meal and they(camp officials) did their best to make the students comfortable.
This training is a wonderful opportunity given for university students. Apparently some parties with their own political agenda, are trying to have their mean political gains, by disrupting Leadership training. CTU Please stay out of this!!!
