Much awaited, Minimum Z-scores based on the GCE (A/L) Examination in 2012 will be released today evening says UGC and can be accessed through the following modes.
Z score cut off marks released to the official websites www.ugc.ac.lk and www.admissions.ugc.ac.lk .

Information can be received by the hotline 1919 from tomorrow or contacting the UGC for below Telephone Numbers 0112695301, 0112695302, 0112692357, 0112678731

UGC has first time introduced to get Cut off marks via sending a Short Message Service (SMS) from your mobile phone.This facility will available from tomorrow.

You can Check Z score by SMS to 1919 from tomorrow
•        ugc <space> Index Number -> send to 1919
•        Example: ugc 2223322 ->send to 1919
The Z score Cut off marks will be published in national newspapers including “Dinamina”. 

2012/2013 විශ්වවිද්‍යාලවලට ඇතුළත් කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය අවම ඉසඩ් ලකුණු අද(08) නිකුත් කෙරෙන අතර දුරකථන ඇමතුමකින් හෝ කෙටි පණිවුඩ (SMS) මගින්ද තමන් තේරී ඇති පාඨමාලාව ගැන දැන ගැනීමට විශ්වවිද්‍යාල ප්‍රතිපාදන කොමිෂන්සභාව(UGC) මෙවර මුල් වරට පහසුකම් සලසා ඇත.
www.ugc.ac.lk, www.admission.ugc.ac.lk  යන වෙබ් අඩවියටද අවම ඉසඩ්ලකුණු ඇතුළත් කෙරේ.
හෙට 9 සිට රාජ්‍ය සේවා තොරතුරු කේන්ද්‍රයේ 1919 අංකයට ඇමතීමෙන් හෝඑම අංකයට (1919) ඕනෑම ජංගම දුරකථනයකින් කෙටි පණිවුඩයක්‌ යෑවීමෙන් අදාළපාඨමාලාව දැන ගත හැකි බව විශ්වවිද්‍යාල ප්‍රතිපාදන කොමිෂන් සභාවේ අතිරේකලේකම් ආචාර්ය ප්‍රියන්ත ප්‍රේමකුමාර මහතා පැවසීය.
කෙටි පණිවුඩය යෑවිය යුතු ආකාරය වන්නේ UGC (හිස්‌තැනක්‌) විභාග අංකය 1919ට "SEND" කිරීමය.

මීට අමතරව ප්‍රතිපාදන කොමිෂන් සභාවේ 0112695301, 0112695302, 0112692357, 0112678731 යන දුරකථන අංකවලට ඇමතීමෙන්ද තොරතුරු ලබාගත හැකිය.

Much awaited 2012 A/L Z score cut-off marks will be released on OCtober 2013 by University Grants Commission UGC Sri Lanka. The Z score cut off marks can be obtained from http://www.ugc.ac.lk/ UGC official web Site.

At the moment site is too busy and web page is not available due to heavy traffic. Hence there may be a Data delay.

Old News

Chairperson of the University Grants Commission UGC, Prof. Kshanika Himburegama said 2011 A/L cut-off marks will be issued during this weekend or early next week and it has to be done very carefully. The Z score cut off marks can be obtained from http://www.ugc.ac.lk/ web Site.
Releasing of the minimum Z-scores for the academic year 2011/2012 was delayed due to the Z-score crisis that occurred with the issuing of the results of the 2011 A/L examination. The Z-scores issued initially were cancelled following to a Court Order and the re-corrected Z-scores and ranks were released sometime after.
This time two cut-off marks will be released separately for the old syllabus and the new syllabus following the Court Order.
The Supreme Court has given permission to issue the cut-off marks for university entrance and accordingly, nearly 6,000 extra students are expected to be admitted to the universities this year.
The UGC announced that it is taking necessary action to admit the students to universities by the end of March 2013.

    there is no minimum zscore & selected course of study options in the university addmissions tab on www.ugc.ac.lk...is this means that they are updating their web site for new 2012 academic year

      hey karthika,,,i think this may b helps u 2 find ur z-score..u can find ur z-score in ur 2011 A/L result sheet. try 2 get ur result sheet
