Much awaited University Z
score Cut off Marks to be issued August 2014. Chairperson of the University
Grants Commission UGC Prof. Mrs. Kshanika Hirimburegama says the cut-off marks
for the university admissions based on the GCE A-Level 2013 will be issued next
month to UGC Web site Web >>>.
About 50,000 students have
submitted applications. Out of them 25,000 students will be enrolled this year.
Later, the leadership training for the selected students will be conducted.

Sri Lanka University Grant Commission UGC Chairperson Prof. Kshanika Hirimburegama says that students who have passed GCE A/Level examination 2013 will be admitted to universities by September 2014.
The university entrance application and handbook for
the 2013/2014 academic year will be issued after releasing the re-scrutinized A/Level results 2013. The
Examination Department informed that results of the re-scrutinized results of
last year's GCE Advanced Level Examination answer scripts will be handed over
to the University Grants Commission during the first week of next month.
The Z scores of the Examination
will be released within 2 and half months upon receipt of the answer scripts.
The Chairperson of the University Grants Commission Mrs. Kshenika Hirimburegama
said that they expect to admit new students to the Universities around September.
She said that about 25,000 students will be admitted to the Universities this
year.
The UGC handbook is a student
guide that contains the university entrance application form, course details
and aptitude test information.
University Entrance process will
be as follows.
First re-scrutinized A/Level results 2013
should be released. Then University Hand Book will be issued. After
issuing the Hand Book students should be fill it and send to UGC.Based on
students desired course students have to apply for aptitude tests after
publishing on national newspapers. After that students have to sit for Aptitude
Tests depend on their selected courses. Then aptitude test results will
released by relevant universities, Z score cut off marks will be released with
selected degree course and after that 3 week leadership Training program will
be held. Finally University Registration!

Meanwhile Higher education Ministry Director
General of the students’ affairs Keerthi Mawallage said that the students who
are qualified for the 2013 will be admitted before the end of 2014.
