The Z Score Cut off marks for the 2014/2015 university academic year released (October 5).
The cut off marks are based on the 2014 GCE Advanced Level results.
The new academic year is scheduled to start in November this year and UGC hopes to admit 25,000 students.

Short while ago, Chairperson of the University Grants Commission UGC Prof. Mrs. Kshanika Hirimburegama told “Lanka University News” that the cut-off marks for the university admissions based on the GCE A-Level 2013 will be issued tonight or tomorrow to UGC Web site.
She further said “We are in the final stage. Hopefully we can finalize this tonight. We have to cross check all these again and again. Also we have to do this manual again”. So it will be tonight or tomorrow”

Z score cut off marks released to the official websites www.ugc.ac.lk and www.admissions.ugc.ac.lk .
Information can be received by the hotline 1919 from tomorrow or contacting the UGC for below Telephone Numbers 0112695301, 0112695302, 0112692357, 0112678731
UGC has first time introduced to get Cut off marks via sending a Short Message Service (SMS) from your mobile phone.This facility will available from tomorrow.
You can Check Z score by SMS to 1919 from tomorrow
• ugc <space> Index Number -> send to 1919
• Example: ugc 2223322 ->send to 1919
The Z score Cut off marks will be published in national newspapers including “Dinamina”.
