The University Grants
Commission announced that the accepting of applications for the university
intake this year will commence on Wednesday.

Hirimburegama noted that the applications will be accepted until May 19.

revealed following details.
“When filling the application,
it is essential that the instructions are properly read and that the correct
course that the student intends to follow, is written. Because, sometimes,
students come back later asking if the course could be changed. So, this cannot
be done unless there is a vacancy. “
She further stated: “Some of
these courses require a practical examination as well as an aptitude test. So,
these examinations will be conducted at the respective universities. And if you
fail to qualify the aptitude test, you will not be eligible to undertake that
particular course regardless of the Z-score.”
Meanwhile, the University
Grants Commission says that the handbook consisting of applications for
universities has been published.
The commission noted that
the handbook could be purchased from book stores countrywide. They added that May 19 will be the due date
to submit all applications.

ReplyDeleteI didn't request for re corrections but I have heard that, once the re correction results are out, it will affect on district/island ranks. But although I didn't request for re corrections, my z-score has been reduced by 0.0003 points! (not the grades nor the ranks) Is this a normal condition? Should I contact UGC?

It's completly normal.It's obvious aftre re correction,there will be a slight difference in Z Score.When some ones marks changed after re correction,it affects to the mean of that subject.(not one person really,20 or 30.).So when they calculate the z score again,there will be a difference..

DeleteWats ur island rank. the following are the number of studernts allocated 4 each campus.

Jpura 150
If we consider filling the vacancies according to the island rank basis u may get pera or j.pura according to ur i.rank. but if thetes a vacancy in col campus brcause of the change of preference of a super merit student u may get colombo. there is no possibility of entering pera. Coz ur z is low so i hope tat ur i.rank is greater than385 (col190+pera 195.) If ur island rank is between 385-530 then u may enter jpura. Wats ur i.rank friend?????
