The police arrested 10 students on Saturday
when they clashed with the police during a protest staged by the students of
the University demanding the University authorities to stop the expulsion of
four students.
Police were forced to
fire tear gas to disperse the students protesting in front of the Sabaragamuwa
University and blocking the main Colombo-Badulla highway. The students have
also attacked the police injuring 10 police officers.
