2012/2013 University Academic Year Begin October 2013

Academic Year 2012 2013 Sri Lanka University News2012/2013 Sri Lanakn University academic year will begin from October 2013 said Higher Education Minister S.B. Dissanayake today addressing a media briefing.
"Normally international academic calendar commence from October month. Hence Sri Lanka also should adapt to that schedule" he further said.
UGC Hand book, a student guide that contains the application form will be available at all bookshops soon. The form should be filled and all courses that the candidate qualifies  should be mentioned according to his or her preference and sent under registered cover to the University Grants Commission.
About 23000 students would be admitted to state universities for the 2011/2012 academic year and it would be 27500 for the 2011/2012 academic year. About 22000 students enrolled to universities in 2011. Only 21,111 students were selected to Universities in 2010 while it was 20,270 students in year 2009.

  1. Can you plz tl me about when will call applications for the human resourse advancement dgree in colombo university (2014 academic year).cuz that is not mentioned in hand book 2013.
